Call for beta test of DJI Zenmuse H3-2D Gimbal

Chris, I think you are doing this forum a disservice, there are many experienced members on here who can offer objective feedback. And to earlier comments about just paying people to test instead... the whole beauty of a forum is members locations, different temps, different altitudes...

    Really PC only?

virtualbox is free and works great. Or alternatively you may be able to use wine (http://winebottler.kronenberg.org/) to avoid using windows at all.

What happens when a rotor fails...

Yeah make sure you have a disposable toy to keep your eye in with. Fly in Atti over GPS whenever you can and be sure to practice in manual when possible. These light evenings provide lots of time to get yourself into trouble (and get yourself out of it). I find to simulate a motor failure in...

What happens when a rotor fails...

It does not kill the opposing motor, it doesnt know which motor is failed as they are essentially dumb. My best guess is that it looks for a build up in the Integral accumulator in the yaw PID loop and when that goes over a threshold for a period of time it knows something is wrong and there is...

What happens when a rotor fails...

Yes some good advice there. Here's mine... If you are running a hexa and you loose lift from one prop (for whatever reason). DON'T RELY ON THE DJI FUNCTIONALITY! Switch from gps mode to attimode, but DONT enable IOC, doing so will tempt you to try to steer the craft, best thing to minimise...

If you're lifting anything expensive, use an octo. From experience.

You need to make sure you provide cooling for the FETS and controller IC. Some RAM heatsinks should do the job

    Zenmuse repair

Hello Ok bit of an update, Still thinking that the problem lied with the AMT102-V encoders, I swapped the encoders (they are identical) from the roll axis to the tilt axis. My theory was that if the problem was with the roll encoder, this problem would now exhibit on the tilt axis, seemed like...

    Zenmuse hire

I'll put it out there because it's worth a shot. I have a great opportunity for a private shoot coming up next weekend (19th) and I have a faulty zenmuse, and my other brushless setup won't be ready in time. Would anyone, individual, distributor or retailer be up for hiring a zenmuse (for gh2)...
