Frank, You can downgrade back to 5.06 by using the assistant for that firmware release. I never used 5.06 so I'm not sure which assistant version you need, but I'm sure somebody else will chime in and let you know. Alex

I use xoar 11x5's, so fairly similar to the graupners. I don't think it has to be set to zero, on some platforms it might benefit from being much higher or much lower than the actual COG....but I've only experienced the affects it has on my copter, it may be that for the majority out there...
