i just crashed my f450/Naza quad... bent 3 props and some scratches in the arms... had to switch to the 10" dji props... problem now is its oscillating in hover... adjusted the pitch and roll gains from 80-220 and attitude gains from 80-210 and still having the same issue... props were balanced and motor was also balanced on ipad siesmic apps.... did i damaged the Naza FC?

could be one or more shafts of the motors are bend. do you see your props vibrating a bit in flight instead of tracking nicely?

thanks vinnygogo... i tried to eyeball the props and believe they are all tracking straight... are the dji motor prone to being bent?????

sounds like the loading for the props is just too low and they aren't spinning enough at a hover..... what does it weight? what battery?

recovering from crashes is tough but doable. could be like a bearing thats only damaged enough to show this now.

are the props side to side balanced or just so it sits flat in a balancer? are the vibes on the app pretty much not there? yes dji are prone to it especially cause the built in prop shafts can't be replaced like normal setups are done after crashing

thank you Kloner... yes props are balanced 360 degrees,,, my bad that i didn't stock the 8"dji's. battery/lipo is 3s 2200s turnigy. 172gms... total flying weight is 938gms...

you are spot on about the bearing just tested it after reading your reply... placed the quad on glass table and hand spin the props 1by1 and sure enough i can feel 1 gritty motor maybe the bearing is pitted... but would it be enough to cause the oscillation/wobble?.... and where can i get the bearings for this dji motors?????...

yes, the bearing going out prevents the motor from hitting the rpm the controllers trying to put it...... it happens.

are these the 2212? i remember mine are different. got mine at boca, motors have ran 300-400 flights and are still smooth, still running on my 2nd quad. think i went with some grade 5 though and they were expensive. everybody here said the bearings in them stock aren't even graded bearings

yes....... but the bearing is gonna get worse and worse till even the right props wont make it happy

found the culprit...missing washer and c-clip on motor number 2.... i do hope that this is it... must have lost them when i crashed, only thing is i don't have the c-clip and washer... but gives me peace of mind than thinking i trashed the NAZA FC

how haven't you lost the bell off the top yet? if you pull the prop area and hold the arm, it should fall apart.

yea, loosing stuff leaves you sol, that's the not very hobby grade part of em. no parts available, throw away when they have a problem. I got three "spare" dji motors gathered as parts, all the parts a guy doesn't need and all of em are missing that clip. Dam thing flies off if you don't hold it just right and bounces off into my carpet,,,,,, see ya

Got the same question Kloner... i considered myself lucky didn't crashed twice... for some reason i can only pull the bell off just some 2.5mm of movement ... anyways another lessons learned... another item to be added on pre-flight checklist...
