Something went wrong with gps while flying and it wobled and droped on the grass. This is what happened from a dji frame that in video they say it it unbreakable. I can confirm that is a big lie :)

Check pictures :) Can i ask for a new bum under waranty :) since they are promoting it as unbreakable :)

I'm surprised it broke only the arm with that kind of force. I doubt they would replace anything. But I can sell you a whole new frame if you want. I ended up with 2 of them. $70 NIB or maybe you can order separate arms.

I'm curious what the temp was when the accident occurred. I was wondering myself how "unbreakable" these frames are under low temps when plastics tends to get more brittle.

I can have stuffed mine loads of times and even buried one arm up to the esc in a football field with out breaking it.. I have jumped on it and generally treated its abismably... I to am curious as to what temperature you where flying it in as I am off to Finland with mine in -20ºc

Droider I agree with you. I have crashed mine many times. Several times from over 30' and have not broken anything. I did notice that you were using Graupner props and they didn't break but the frame did. Very curious.

1 prop breaked, the one on the broken frame. The funy thing is that it fell from 10m or 12m in the air and with no speed at all. Its like i would take off the gas and let it drop. The temp was like 0 or 3 degress celsius but it was out for a long time so the plastic was cold.
U could be right that this material is only good when normal temps apply.
Alredy got a spare leg but still this sucks that it can brake from 10 m free fall.

At those temps and with a perfect strike, I can see where an arm could fracture. Couldn't tell from the picture that one of the blades broke. It is actually unusual to have something not break from 10m. Most of the time it is several things, multiple props, arms etc. Count yourself lucky. I have flown at temps down to -12F and fortunately never had any failures with the exception of APC props that will fracture at the slightest touch at temps below 5C.

Guess u aint been around since the Alware frame days then.. all you had to do to them was sneeze on um and they would snap.. ANYTHING falling from 10/12m on to hard ground cant be expected to not have damage.. saying that I know I have well and truly stuffed mine many times and not broke out BUT I also accept that the cold could have a affect as well as the angle it hits and the hardness of the ground I guess.. I really think you have been unlucky rather than a faulty arm. Guess the MR gods where not smiling on you copter at the time.. Luck of the draw me thinks..

Onward and upward eh!

@Tahoe Ed thx for the prop info. Will put some cheaper ones for the winter time in case i get some more strange kiler mooves from the gps. Lets see what the dji ppl have to say about this. Too bad i wasnt recording it since i was planing to do it. Camera on now so FPV time tomorow :)

Let me explain what happened. I was flying in gps more on full speed forward, reduced the stick back to middle so he started to slow down, almost hoovering when i turned the tail so the kopter rotated 90 deg right and then little forward. All of the suden it started to woble like crazy and was loosing altitude until 2 sec later it hit the grass. It landed on one leg that broke and then fliped.

Gps flying and turning tail , could this be the problem or are the gains setting wrong. I had everything default at the time. More testing today :)

I broke mine but it just cracked the legs underneath and i never replaced em, just ca'd it. watch this if your stomach can take it

That was 2 days after i got it, first time i flew it. hadn't got the lipo for it yet, and the one in it fell off and unplugged on it's way out. bent 2 motors, broke one prop, just one ear and cracked both legs it fell on, just barely
