I fixed the hopping around a while ago, it all runs smooth.

Good idea about the nuts, I am gonna try another method, just ordered 50xM6 nylocs.
Still annoyed that this could happen, I double checked it, guess not...

I use nylocs also as the jam nut on top. I got them at my local hardware store.

Before using the gimbal I had a good 6 minute flight of mostly hovering (more battery consuming). With the gimbal attached this drops to 3 minutes. I have my first level alarm set at 15.4v, which is 3.85v a cell, to which I land the craft, I check voltage and this is around 4v a cell. So I have a difference of 0.15v which I set as loss in the Wookong software.

I am using cheap Zippy batteries. When I observe voltage on my OSD I do see significant drops (hovering, fast forward), is this common for Zippy batteries? Will I benefit if I use 'better' batteries?

3 minutes of flight time (fully charged to first level) is really really low. I am going to do some testing with different props, I have 12x6 e APC and 12x5 XOAR waiting to be mounted. What are my other options for more flight time? Is my first level set too low?

I'm using 2 - 5000 mah 5s Thunder Power batteries. My flight times are:
Airframe without gimbal/camera 15 min.
" with gimbal/gopro 9 min.
" with gimbal/canon 5D 6 min.
This give me a 1:30 before failsafe to land.
