Forum seems to have gone quiet on new builds so here goes.
Pic of my now stable XAircraft X650 which has the following:
I had to bin my first HobbyWing Quattro ESC since it seemed to be causing momentary severe dips and altitude changes (oh for an oscilloscope). The adhesive joining the heatsink to the MOSFETs was also askew and needed realigning.
Calibrating the Quattro ESC for throttle is a bit tricky since it only works if you power the Rx at exactly the same time as powering up the Quattro (the leads they supply aren't sufficient). Each integrated ESC has to be done.
Flight is quite a lot more jittery than my AD-8 particularly on descents which need to be constrained to 0.4m/sec if vertical. Great to chuck around and experiment IOC with. Can just manage a GoPro alone but NOT with the XAircraft top-end gimbal. That needs their Hexa or bigger motors on the X650.
For the time I couldn't source parts in the UK I used www.FoxtechFPV.com (cloned X650? or slightly modded but from same factory?) and 'gadgetextreme' on ebay.
