What is accepted as "normal" motor vibration?

I had some issues with my tigers. I took off all the prop adaptors and spun them up I then added an adaptor and twisted and swapped around they all smoothed out in the end but it was an evenings work..

Isn't everything we do on these things take a bit of time. The work flow for these things is pretty harsh. I can't imagine being a total newb into RC then trying to get one of these monsters running well. Lol, i want to shoot mine, and she's really starting to produce to...

I am trying to do motor balancing on the MR frame but am still struggling with the balancing concept.
Here is a snapshot of the vibration spectrum of the three axes involved.
Question 1: How relevant is the "z" axis information as that is the axis of the motor rotor and will behave differently when the prop pulls it in up direction only?
Question 2: Should I aim for a maximum rpm for balancing as in high speed balancing when buying tires?

It seems that the vibration point shifts as the frequency changes. Here is a snapshot of the rpms where the frequencies tend to be highest, i.e., 5 hertz and 40 hertz...... can I really expect to eliminate both with one piece of balance tape?

IrisAerial, here's the deal with balancing motors.

1. If the motor has tape, just remove it, it will pretty much balance out smooth as can be afterward.
So would you recommend doing this to all motors if they have a label on them? I see my DJI 920kv motors have an ID sticker on them and thought it can't help but throw the balance off. Thanks.
