Video Transmitters take another step forward

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
It used to be you'd get 5.8ghz equipment with the highest output power you could afford and that would be the end of it. Then came FPV group flying, then racing and eight channels wasn't enough. Too much power and you'd also be causing interference with your friends' reception. So along came better antennae, lower power output and more channels followed by more channels!

Now, BuddyRC.com has what might be the ultimate in current tech analog video transmitters, switchable channels AND switchable power output!

I present to you, the DragonFlyer DRAK 40 channel video transmitter with switchable power output and multiple (%V and 12V) DC power outputs for whatever camera you're using!

Dragon Rider Drak 5.8G Hz, 40 channel adjustable wireless AV transmitter.

First of all, Drak video transmitter provides clean and sharp images great for FPV flight.

This Drak AV transmitter can be used for different FPV racing events that limit maximum output power. The power can be easily changed with the "RF Power" button to toggle between 25, 200, and 600mW to be eligible in those events. It eliminates the hassle to change Tx for different racing. The power is indicated by the LED lights on the up right corner of the LED panel with 3 different size dots.

This product features 40 channels, including those of R band required for a lot of events. By long press of the "Channel" key it can change to A B E F R bands, and short press to change frequencies that is indicated by numbers 1 to 8. The bands are indicated by A B F R LED lights respectively, and band E with all four lights on.

Drak transmitter can accept a wide range of DC input from 6 to 20V, meaning 2S to 4S LiPo can be used directly to power up the unit. It also has two set DC output that can support both 5V and 12V cameras without using an additional BEC.

Package contains a Drak AV transmitter, an antenna, a FPV cable, and a cable for GoPro.

Adjustable 25, 200, 600mW output power
A B E F R bands and 40 channels, including racing frequencies
DC outputs for both 5V and 12V cameras

Gary just showed me this. Thanks for sharing the information with your forum! We are proud of this product. We are building an entirely new "pro series" so keep your eyes open!

Sounds like there's enough versatility there to make it useful across a lot of multirotor equipment and not be limited to FPV racers.

Mr take no prisoners!
The new TBS Unify Pro is much better if you are running Core Pro's, just got a couple and they are brilliant!

Got one coming this week. Looked too versatile to pass up. Wonder if there is a power filter built in the circuitry (where main voltage comes in?)?

Now to decide what corresponding RX module to use. Which power 25, 200 or 600? Advice?

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
The video receivers don't have a power rating, they do have single or dual reception capability with dual being referred to as diversity where the receiver will monitor two video streams and display the better one of the two

Thanks Bart. The variable powers and voltage outputs are well thought out. Wanting to know if an LC power filter is still advisable or if DragonRider also included some of that too. If you talk to them I'd like to know.

Regarding diversity, can't be a bad thing to consider. I'll see how my system works and go from there. Sum of the parts and how you install them, eh?
