Vacuum Forming and CF materials suppliers

Looking to buy some small quantities of vacuum forming plastic and carbon fiber materials in the US. Any recommendations?

In the US is Composite Structures Technology. CST. In Europe there are many

Trec-r - not sure what you need but I have a friend pretty versed in vacuum forming stuff. He used my snow mobile hood and made another one for me out of Carbon Fiber. If you need something one off - maybe he could help.

There are two types of material used for thermo vacuum moulding:

Lexan (mostly used for bodys of RC cars) : (Polycarbonate)

Lexan is very strong and takes a lot of abuse until it breaks.....my favorite


PTEG: (Poyester)

Denny - Thanks do you have experience with them?

hjls3 - Thanks. I am planning to make a number of parts for my multi and other things.

Chris - ABS is another plastic that can be thermoformed. I did Google it, however I was hoping to find someone with first hand experience with the supply companies. I trust you guys more then I trust Google.
