Why can't we use it after a proper rewound? There is a 6S and 70A version of Alexmos controller, they can be a good match.
You're willing to lift Alexa Arri, but with which gimbal?

Wow that is a huge motor. I am curious with all of the weight of the motor, the airframe required to house the motors and the gigantic batteries needed to turn the motors what do you think your flight times will be?

for a brushless gimbal motor to be good the larger the diameter of the can itself the more torque you get. this can is just not brushless gimbal motor type. in regards to the gimbal i am working on new design it will be brushless. in regards to flight times, with a very good cinema camera like in this case the alexa you can only record so much but 12 mins is all the client needs plus this thing will run on 12s and at 50% it only pulls 11 amps or so with 11lbs of thrust per motor. flying target weight is 65lbs. also never heard of 6S and or 70A version of the Alexmos board.

Do you have any thrust vs watts curves that you can share? Even a few points would be nice. Those are the 29" props, correct?
What alexa are you designing the gimbal for? The XT is 20lbs with lens and very long. The M is a bit nicer but you still have the big module on a umbilical.

below is from tiger but with the 28" prop i got 11lbs pulling 11 amps or so on 12s. motor temp less than 100 after running 75% or so for 5 mins. the key is the smoothness. smooth as glass on the test stand. will upload a video later.

Is the Alexa flying? Do you have any pics of the complete rig? I have a similar scale project and would be very interested in any data you could share. Specifically, what ESC you used with 12s battery and the U11 motor.
