Throttle Problems

I have a stock 450 with gps. Every thing checks out as far as I can see. Correct led flashes , motors start at half throttle if I advance throttle at all the motors speed up almost all the way then after a few seconds they almost stop. This is while I'm holding on to it just enough to keep it from flying away. Afraid that when the motors speed up all the way it will go up about 60 feet then die out with a sudden drop. Appreciate any help.

Is your IMU flashing red? what batteries are you using, how old are they, do they have a good cell charge? balance ok on the batteries? what size props are you using and what is your cut of voltages set to.

Problem solved. Re-calibrated everything did a test flight and all went well. Not sure but think the failsafe setting had something to do with it. I'm now a happy camper. Thank all for your quick reply.
