throttle doesn't change until I reach 50%

I've done my maiden flight with F550 and noticed while setting up too that throttle doesn't seem to change until I reach 50%.
I turn on using CSC position so motors spin in idle. Then the revs only change once past 50% up.

I have calibrated via USB and App and the min and max seem to correspond on PC display.

I'm using a Turnigy 9x to control. Is the 50% thin fine to leave as is or should I be changing some settings someqwhere to give the full range.

Thanks for any help!

What mode are you flying?

If in Atti or GPS, the throttle is not a throttle, but more fo a height adjuster. 50% throttle is “maintain” current height” 51% + is rise, 49%- is lower.
the only time you should sense a “throttle’ feel is in manual.

This is true on Naza, Wkong, SuperX, Hoverfly... probably almost all FC’s.

Easy? You call that easy?
That's normal. It's a feature of one of the latest firmware updates. The throttle doesn't change until you reach 50%. Once in the air it will act normally.

The reason for this is that in GPS and Atti mode, the throttle stick is not acting as a throttle demand but as a rate of climb demand. Below 50% the aircraft is trying to descend but cant because of the ground thus the revs stay at their idling rpm. As soon as you hit 50% the aircraft is being told to hover and above this it is trying to climb hence why you only get a change in revs at 50% and beyond whilst on the ground.

Try it in manual mode. Should have full range if you know how to handle the unit.

Sent from my electronic telecommunications thingy majiggy, using my fingers and stuff.
