The motors included are BC2836-1120KV Motors and the ESCs are 20A. But when I look at the identical motors being sold separately, they recommend 40A ESCs!

I have the 750 kv version of those motors. They are big motors and will need the 40amp esc. I would email them and ask them if they can put the 40amp esc's for you.
