Yes I agree, we should make this our positive article thread. Please keep them coming. I see a lot of negative discussion around what people are doing wrong to give the multi rotor community a black eye such as the discussion around Black Sheep. Lets make this thread positive and post what people are doing right.

I just had a job come in to shoot around 100 vulture nests at a military base to count the number of eggs, location is stunning cliffs and sea that nobody gets to see. Zoom lens of course. It beats commercial property work any day.

That is awesome. Both are great stories for showing the benefits of the hobby.
Definitely need to see more things like this out in the mainstream.

Can you post any video of that? That would be nice to see, but being on a military base I don't know if you can post the footage.

I'm sure I can find a way round that, so long as the background does not show anything sensitive. It is one of the most militarily sensitive areas in the Eastern Med.
The birds have just started laying so it will go on for a few weeks yet. I will shoot video but the main task is the get geotagged high res. stills of one particular species, the environmentalists need facts more than beautiful films.
