The sound of the DJI stock motors on the F550

Hi!

I am flying a F550 with stock motors, stock ESC and 8¨props. She flies just fine and the motors are not particularly warm after a flight. However, I am starting to be bothered by the very high pitch of the noise of the motors. This noise is above the traditional noise of the motors. I can't say if it was always there.
1- What is the noise of your motors?
2- Is it possible to oil the motors?
3- How do you check your engines health? Can you run them separately?

What noise is it you are hearing, and what battery are you using? You need to be more specific to get an answer.

Wonder if the op is hearing the high pitched squeal of the esc's?

I am using a 4S battery. The sound is as you mention Tstrike high pitched squeal, very high indeed, it is not even recorded by the mic of my lousy cam. Like a whistle to train dogs.
I have disconnected the motors one by one and could not identify that one did a particular noise. So I guess the sound is normal. Didn't know the ESC's squeal!

That would be the capacitors on the ESCs screaming, kinda normal but probably a little louder on a 4s battery than a 3s.
