My son gave me the Syma X8C for Christmas a couple of years ago. I promptly when out and crashed it. Since the parts were inexpensive, and I didn't want to do testing to figure out what component I broke, I purchased new motors and a new motherboard and replaced the original equipment, being careful to keep the new motors in the same configuration. Since then, I have tried to fly the quadcopter several times, without success. The drone successfully communicates with the controller, the propeller blades spin and respond to other inputs (pitch & Yaw), but it simply will not liftoff in vertical flight. After each failed flight attempt I come back in the house and review the manual (such as it is) and the numerous YouTube videos. When I get a fresh idea I go out and try again. I'm at my wits end...
