Suggestions for portable copter to carry Sony RX100 or similar

I have a big hexa for carrying a Nex or DSLR.

Thinking of building a more "portable" photo/video bird for travel, which can carry my Canon S95 or maybe a Sony RX100 on a gimbal. NO GoPro.

Suggestions?

I'm really interested in this as well. I checked out the steadidrone site and a few things about the design were promising but a few were disappointing as well such as it being built for pix hawk, all the plastic parts, 2axis gimbal, etc. looks like it has a place for industrial work but not AP.

Fare enough. I have recently setup a steadidrone Dash frame with Naza and GoPro. The design is good and the frame is sturdy so am overall happy. My only reservation is the asymmetric layout which I think is not efficient and with a basic FC like NAZA means that yaws and rolls are a bit jerky. Otherwise you should be able to use Naza and install any gimbal. Their Maverick is a but bigger. Here are some photos of my setup. I ended up picking a foldable Alien H4 680 frame. The keyword that "got me" was "backpack." I'd love to fold it up and take it hiking into the boonies, then launch.

I too picked the alien h4 680 frame. This is one of the most compact frames there are when folded.
