I'm just waiting to receive notice that mine has shipped, when I preordered they said delivery mid-August which has come and gone with no news :(

The best I can determine is they are still waiting on some parts to complete the kits before shipping, and that from some snippets on the Stingray Facebook page...

It will be interesting to fly this little beast although it's been so long since I flew a C/P heli I'll need to dust off my old Trex450 and the sim on my computer for practice before I get daring with it. Also not going to try anything fancy until parts are readily available, would suck hugely to crash it and then have to wait weeks for bits to fix it. I bet it's also going to be a challenge for anyone that isn't familiar with the build and setup of an RC heli kit, with C/P mechanical setup is key, get it wrong and it isn't going to fly very well. Multiply that by a factor of 4 for each corner of the quad and I can see a lot of potential for build problems with inexperienced pilots.

Once I have mine in hand I'll start a build thread, stay tuned!

Hey Ken,
The reason the kit was delayed, is because some plastic parts came in that where not to spec, so they had to rebuild some of the parts. Unfortunately this happens.

Even though this Quad does not have self leveling yet, it is a lot easier to fly than a single rotor heli. It is a very stable ship.
As far as assembly, this kit is supposed come pretty close to assembled. It is a very simple design as it is.

I think it is a very refreshing concept that has a lot going for it. Best of both worlds. I'm sure that with his electronic skills it wont be long before Curtis gets a fully auto stabilizing controller working. Not so sure you could not configure something like APM to do that job.

Who has received one and what are your thoughts so far. This will be my next purchase unless I hear something very disappointing.
Selling everything associated with DJI. Absolutely cannot stand that company and will not send another penny their way. If they are the last FC mfg. on this earth I will go bact to flying 100% manual.
I may keep my GAUI X5 but will be selling the NAZA-H in it.

Is there a specific CY Stingray Owners thread here yet?
