Spektrum receiver for F450

I planned to use the Spektrum AR8000 that came with my DX7s but the 3 pin servo cables won't fit, they have a little edge on them that prevent them connecting. Won't work, unless there is some kind of adapter I'm not aware of.

So Spektrum users, which receiver do you use that works with the 3 pin servo cables?

Trim off the tags

I will probably get some flack for this but I had the same issue. So I trimmed off the cable tags with a scalple being careful not to cut into the plug body :)

I have the AR6210 and had the exact same problem as you (and on previous RC models) all I did was get a file and file them down and fits snug.......saves spending cash on kit you dont need.

i bought some spektrum friendly servo housings from hansonhobbies and swapped over the Rx ends of all the cables.

Wow, thanks for all the help on this. I thought of filing or pulling out the Drimmel but thought that might be a no-no or cause serious damage. It would be such a waste NOT to be able to use such a nice receiver, and since I already have it. I'm pulling out the file right now.

I'll save you some time, just use a small pair of cutting pliers to snip off the tab. Put them flush along the edge of the connector with the tab between the jaws and just squeeze, you can do all of them in a minute or two.

Glad to help! Curved and still able to get close enough. Not necessary to remove 100% of it.
I tried diag cutters but did not get as close as nail clippers!
Most civilized folks have nail clippers, though have met some that apparently never heard of the invention.

How true. After clipping, like any civilized person would do, I filed the edge just to make everything was nice and smooth for when the time comes.
