Spammers

Spammers seem to have multiplied lately in addition to developing a fondness for this site. My apologies for the profanities posted to the site, I'm trying to keep their misbehaviors to a minimum.

I don't know how obvious it is to users of the site but we're currently being overrun by spammers. We're catching most of them before they post anything but it's been non-stop for the last 24 hours. I use a spammer database to compare IP and email addesses. I'm sorry if anyone gets deleted by mistake but it's been a chore to keep up.

i changed things around again so it will likely slow for a while. they'll figure it out again and we'll have to fight them off until i can change it again. this will likely be a part of forum hosting life going forward.
