Skyjib motor temperatures

Hi folks, I have a question regarding motor temperatures when doing some heavy lifting.

I have a skyjib coaxial with kw10 motors, Hercules esc, wkm and 16*5 props running 6cell batteries.

I've noticed that after flying heavy loads the top motors are getting quite warm, even hot sometimes but the bottom ones are always cool. Is this normal or do i need to play around with the motor settings in wkm software to distribute the load more evenly?

On our Flat Skyjib we see variations but typically between cw and ccw - generally 7-8 degrees C. We use a heat gun and measure 40C +/- on the cooler side and 50C +/- on the warmer side. How hot is hot?

Don't know if its related to your issue but we spent a LOT of time making sure motors were correctly aligned on our AD8XY. We're using Wookong which recommends same props top and bottom but starting to wonder if a deeper pitch on the bottom which has been recommended by many is the right answer. Sounds to me like you're overpitched on top perhaps?

I haven't measured the exact temperatures but just feeling the motors the top ones are between 40-50 id say while the bottom ones are below 30 for sure. they feel cool to the touch after flying. Ill have to get a proper infrared thermometer to get more accurate results. I have made sure the props and motors are all perfectly aligned so i don't think that's the issue here.

Would be interesting to hear from somebody who went from same props on top and bottom to a deeper pitch on the bottom ones and see their findings and if its something I should consider doing?

This is totaly normal iff using stock dji mixer with same props. Motors should be good unless you overheat them with like 90 deg celsius for longer perioud.
Please dont try different picth on stock mixer since you will get a uncontrolable spin off . I dont know who sugested this but this is not safe.
You can try to experiment with mixers that were allredy mentiond somewhere on this forum. I would not worry about it.

100% with Lanzar.. its not an issue. If she is flying nice temps like that are well within limits.

GO FLY and enjoy.. dont start mucking around in the mixer, you will just spend more time faffing than flying!
