XAircraft Serious Help Needed

Hey all, I've been lurking around for awhile soaking up tips and tricks and a ton of useful information. But I have a problem that is driving me crazy. Let me start with my aircraft specs:

XAircraft X450 Pro
FC 1212-P
AHRS-S V2
Spektrum Dx6i

XAircraft Software Setup Info: 1.8 Build 0405 Updated 3/9/2012

All defaulted with the exception of:

General Input #5 - ATT (This is the default setting

Stick Gain = 40 (I'm heavy handed)

My 450 Pro, just wont lift off. It leans either right of left when bring the throttle up causing to me adjusted, it leans forward and backwards once again causing me to adjust (this is a major balancing act) when the throttle is brought up to about 25%.

Every once in a while when I do get airborne, she drifts left or right and I go into panic mode trying to get her back under control. I do hook her up to the software prior to flight to triple check the settings, I do let her sit for about 3 -4 mintues prior to flying, I do double check all wiring connections nuts and bolts. I do more checking that I should. (I fly a Bell 407 I wonder if thats where all the checking comes from?) I need your help, any suggestions?

Enclosed are a few pictures of my current aircraft. View attachment 4876View attachment 4877View attachment 4878

Hi Search 49

You need to do some clean up. 1st your AHRS IS NOT ALIGNED with unit. 2nd. I cant see any damping under AHRS, you should have a foam tape under to isolate better from frame. 3rd. When you have aligned with frame and isolated put a bubble level on AHRS and do a recalibration in XA Center. Then take unit out and bench test, then test fly. Please go to my blog for more info and read the Tutorials on how to also balance your quad etc........ I have multi-tutorials on this blog on how to........http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1670862

Hope this helps:nevreness:

Batfire - thanks for the help, after some research and playing around a little, I find that your answer was totally correct. I was not aligned and there was no pad under the AHRS. I've had her back in the air for about a week now, but I did add the padding tonight as soon as I got your reply. I've checked out your blog and am impressed. Everyone should check the blog out, tons of information, its free and its in english!!!!

Hi Search49

You are welcome, I add to blog as I continue my testing and research into drone technology. I am working on testing the V2 FC and will be adding to blog as testing continues.
