Moving from the DJI F450 frame, I purchased the HJ MWC X-Mode Alien Quad frame and moved all the components. I am running iPower 2217-950kv motors with 1038 DJI props, 30amp DJI Opto escs, Naza-m V1 (original), DJI look-alike legs, and tarot T-2D gimbal with gopro 3 attached. The batteries are GensAce 3s 4000mah @25c and 5300mah @ 25c. My issue is that this quad is a little over 4lbs (1927kg) and I'm only getting about 4-5 minutes on the 4000mah battery and 5-7 on the 5300mah. After flight, the battery voltage is about 7.4v each cell resting. Is there a better configuration for this heavy quad?

Really for a rig like this a 4S setup is the only way to go, more power and better fuel consumption along the way. My 1.8-2kg Disco Pro will do 12-14 minutes on 4S 4500 TBS packs with 2212/13 900kv motors and 9x5 Graupner props.
And each cell will be 3.7 volts assuming it is a LiPo.
