Securing 6 and 10 pin connectors

Bartman

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
If anyone has a solution for securing the 6 and 10 pin connectors in their electronics stack could you please post pictures. I've had my 6 pin connectors vibrate off their plugs on multiple occasions and I'm curious as to how some of you have dealt with this.
THanks,
Bart

The basic answer is that there shouldn't be that much vibration getting through to the board. Is this on an MK?

Bart, I had that problem and ended up using a small dab of Amazing Goop on both sides of each connection. It has worked great and if you need to remove them the goop will peel off without damaging any components.

I like the sound of Tucker's solution.

You might be able to get a VERY SMALL zip-tie around the back of the PCB header to keep the connector pulled onto the header.

I used a couple of 4 inch tie wraps and put it all the way around the standoffs for the stack capturing the ribbon cables right about in the middle when I bothered to do it at all. Had that on there for a while then had to take the stack apart for something and never bothered to put it back. In over 15 hours of flight time I've never seen it even begin to come loose but I suppose there's always a first time for everything although checking it is part of my preflight inspection.
