Well I spent a whole week away in rainy Fairford...gutted! did have 2 1/2 days of sun, so out came the camera to capture some magic. It was good to see 2 new aero teams attending, the Black Eagles from Korea & Al Fursan from UAE.

sweet pics. are the black eagles the black and yellow t-50's? pretty awesome paint scheme on those birds. very photogenic. dhl pic - amazing! what the heck is going pic before the dhl pic? is the scene inverted?, some kind of vertical stall? regardless of what is going on, pic is awfully cool.

Thanks for the comments hjls3, yes the black & yellow (bottom side) silver & black (topside) are the Black Eagles from Korea...superb team, they kiscked the red sparrows butts big time! The pic before DHL is a MB339 of the UAE...Al Fursan doing some flat spins....they were trained by the Frecce Tricholore? Itailian team

you dont say...the infamous flat spin? i currently have a PA Addiction X sitting on my desk needing some attention due to flat spin. practice for weeks on simulator and first crack at it - no joy! cant imagine trying that one in a MB339. Balls o steel!

airshow = good fun, good family fun. need to find one and attend, been a while. Thanks again for sharing the pics. awesome stuff.

Ross, nice set of pics. Really like the Rafale with the deep compression clouds. The last time I saw an explosion like that at RIAT was when 2 Mig 29s collided ! Guess it was the Tornado role demonstration show piece.
Just to give a civilian balance, I was at Farnborough this week. The flying program was rather weak compared to RIAT but the weather was nicely changeable so gave some nice photo opportunities. Watching an A380 being thrown around the sky is almost as exciting as watching an aerobatic team.

I have always thought about gpoing to Farnborough, but the big heavy civil stuff doesnt float my boat to be honest, even though your piccies are great Andy. Did you see that Y6 fly?
