Newcomer with a quick intro here.
Hello, my name is Jon, I have been into rc for a good few years now but this is my first go at flying anything!
Decided to start off with something sensible so my good lady bought me a J Perkins Twister quad for Christmas. It has taken a few months but I finally managed to get a few free days this week and try to get started.
All charged up, tx and rx talking to each other, first blip on the sticks and only three of the rotors were spinning. The rear right rotor was not moving.
I had read the manual before doing anything and so I attempted to adjust the trim to see if this helped but it didn't. Thought there might be some resistance but again nothing. So I thought maybe just a bit more input on the throttle was needed. This just resulted in the quad shooting into the air, flying backwards and chopping the heads off two flowers that my wife later told me were called peace lilies!! Oops.
So it's fair to say my first steps into the world of multi rotor flight has been......difficult.
On the plus side, I think I am going to get hooked on these things, this could get expensive.
