ok ill double check, how do i tell if i have the props on the right motors, is the raised edge of the blade the leading edge?

make sure the Naza is mounted correctly. The motor inputs on the Naza should be to the front (Closest to the front red arms). I know that will cause flipping for sure.

Mine kept flipping. I would have sworn on a stack of Bibles that I had everything plugged in correctly and double and triple checked. Finally I pulled the top plate off and went thru the wiring again step by sep and guess what. I had M5 and M6 reversed. Fixed that it flew like a charm

it might be worth checking the CoG in in the middle of the quad & adjust the battery position to compensate if its not. Also was the quad on level ground when you powered it up as that makes a big difference & finally if all is ok there try adjusting the trims on the corresponding channel on the DX6i to compensate.

lancerjay - not sure how high you got when you "got it off the floor". congrats on that btw. anyways, you might take it outside (garage is nice if you have one with room) and try and hover 5 feet up or so. i know when i am flying low, in "ground affect" air - it does fly quite a bit different then when it has just a bit of altitude. good luck and all this will be worth it. dont put it in the bin :).
