Problem with the camera shutter work on Sony NEX 5n

I have a problem with the camera shutter work on Sony NEX 5n on the suspension Zenmuse Z15n. Does not work as photo and video mode.
I set the camera on a hanger. When the camera is not connected HDMI cable shutter release by BR channel works fine. As soon as I connect the HDMI cable from the suspension to the camera shutter control via IR channel stops working. I have HDMI Converter to AVI version 2. I tried different combinations of settings control the camera - control via IR control via HDMI. Unfortunately camera control does not work if the cable is connected HDMI. What can you advise?...

Hmmm, it should work via HDMI with the Zenmuse.

Do the controls work when the Zenmuse is connected to the computer?

Why are you using a HDMI to AV converter, the zenmuse should do this for you? Do you have the same behaviour with the zenmuse HDMi connection?
