Potencial problem with Bullet connectors

I was geting my copter ready for its madden flight and I notice that motor 4 was intermittent or not working, on one of the last bench motor test with MK Tool and then with the transmitter, MK Tool show all systems go, after head scratching I disconnected the last things I connected the problem still there motor 4 intermittent until I saw that the 3 bullets conections from the ESC to the motor I previously bundle them together with cable straps the metal between the join bullets show a little, could this be ??... I cut the cable strap separate the cables from each other and woala problem gone wow if this happened in mid flight, the point is that it is very easy for this to happen those 3 cables are always together and the shrink tubing some times doesn't cover all the way I put a little of plastic electrical tape on each connection just in case
Question is there a better way to isolate the bullets connections other than to put another piece of shrink tubing I use small pieces of electrical tape only because I can peel them easily

a small piece of shrink tube, un shrunk, that you can slide over the connection gaps when you tie the cables down. best if it is a close fit to the diameter of the shrink covered connectors. could probably also use some plain plastic tube of the right diameter.

Yep... good Ideas, I may try the un-shrunk tube, another idea is re do the Shrink tubing on one side but over lap the tube, it will grab the other side, but if I need to disconnect, it may just slide out, maybe some one knows a connector with a overlap plastic
