I’ve got domes galore made to fit Rusty’s UAP1 plate and frame for sale.
There are 3 shapes available - the standard hemisphere dome and an elongated flat top dome for the top and a new flatter dome for bottom electronics protection. In addition, there are 4 materials, clear polycarbonate, black ABS, white hi impact styrene, and clear PET-G. The domes have the dimples in the locations that line up with the mounting locations on the UAP1 plate, so you will drill holes where you need them.
Inside dimensions:
A) Hemisphere: 136mm inside diameter, 68mm from flat flange to inside top of dome, 160mm inside diameter of flat flange
B) Elongated: 131mm inside diameter, 74mm from flat flange to inside top of dome, 160mm inside diameter of flat flange
Prices and details:
1) Clear polycarbonate = $30 each shipped in USA, or 2 or more for $25 each
0.080" thick (2mm) clear polycarbonate weighs about 73 gms and are very strong to protect those expensive electronics. Polycarbonate (Lexan, Makrolon, etc) is the strongest plastic and won't shatter like acrylic, PET-G, and other clear plastics that you can buy at a cheaper price. These are the real deal if you care about your electronics.
2) Black ABS = $15 each shipped in USA, or 2 or more for $10 each or when purchased with a polycarb dome.
0.093" thick black ABS weighs about 70 gms and is almost as strong as polycarbonate. The black ABS has a "stippling" pattern on the surface.
3) White Hi-Impact Styrene = $15 each shipped in USA, or 2 or more for $10 each or when purchased with a polycarb dome.
0.093" thick white Hi-Impact Styrene weighs about 68 gms and is almost as strong as polycarbonate. The white styrene is paintable.
4) Clear PETG bottom plate flat electronics protection = $15 each shipped in USA, or 2 or more for $10 each or when purchased with a polycarb dome.
0.063" thick clear PETG weighs about 46 gms and is strong, but is not made for impact protection. It is intended for weather protection for electronics (ESCs, receivers, etc) mounted under the bottom plate. This is also only intended for Rusty UAP1 frames that use the new tube legs landing gear.
