Parallel batteries redundancy

What happens if you run Lipos in parallel on one of the lipos dies? i believe there is no good redundancy in this scenario, the dead lipo will drain the good lipo, please correct me if i'm wrong...

So, is there any intelligent switch for running more than one lipo with real redundancy, by disconnecting the failed lipo?

High-end fixed-wings, etc. use redundant switching systems - like this: http://www.powerbox-systems.com/e/powerbox_systeme/produktuebersicht/start.php - but I've never seen anything that could handle the power levels we deal with.
