Octo Mode

I am working on my Octo and I see that I have two choices. Octo-rotor I and Octo-rotor V. Is there any preferred way to go. My Hex I run as a V and my Quad I run as an X.

well some prefer the V octo mode over the I since when flying forward with a certain amount of tilt there is more space to not get the arms in the picture ! Otherwise there is not much difference. Personally i also prefer the V mode orientation wise its easier for me !

When you plan to attach LED's for orientation, it's easier with a V-Octo (also sometimes called X-Octo) . The front and the back form a V, so it's easy to put two green or blue LED-strips in the front-V and 2 red LED-strips on the back-V....or whatever colour you like.
