Octo Failure

I was testing the new 3rd axis addition to the Cinestar gimbal when my Droidworx AD8-HL crashed. Luckily I was flying in very low altitude so no damage at all. I'm not yet sure what the cause was but I have clues: before the crash I heard twice a very brief cut-off of the motors. Then the motors just died, the AD8 crashed, and immediately the motors re-engaged while on the ground.

The video here shows it all, look and listen at these timings:
- Sec. 2: first brief cut-off
- Sec. 15: second brief cut-off
- Sec. 22: motors die
- Sec. 24: motors re-engage

I would very much appreciate ideas for what might be the root cause for that.

Here is my setup:
- Droideworx AD8 - Heavy Lift
- DJI WKM flight control
- Motors: Kopterworx KW4 motors
- ESCs: Maytech MT40A - opto V1
- Radio: Futaba T8FG Super
- LiPo: single Gens Ace 4S 10,000 MaH
- Connectors: EC5 (single connector between LiPo and distribution point to all 8 motors)

- Gimbal: Cinestar 3-axis controled by Turnigy TGY 9X 2.4 GHz radio

BTW - I suspect the EC5 connectors....

Thanks in advance for any help.

LiPo is 4S. The wires were not hot after this flight since it was 3 minutes flight. In previous flights, after 8 minutes flight the wires are usually quite hot.
