The robot thing I can see being more viable than the MR's. (Except for the self driven vehicle. I don't see the public embracing autonomous vehicles on the roads just yet.)
A single truck (Driven by a human, not a sensing robot), with multiple delivery bots, drives to a central location and the bots fan out to deliver their packages then return to the truck. There wouldn't be a weight or distance restriction going that route. And it would be a huge fuel savings.

I don't have the link off hand but I just saw someone already come out with a drone that was designed to hack autonomous drones mid air! That was fast! I'll look for the link.
