I am looking to purchase my first drone and I have come here seeking advice on which to consider.
Although I am inexperience in flying, I am a quick and careful learner so I am not afraid to start with a more professional model.
My primary use will be photography and keeping track of animals on my ranch.
Based on my research to date, these are the main features I am looking for:
1. Return to base
2. Long connectivity range
3. Autopilot / object detection / ability to follow waypoints
4. Third party app compatibility (such as dronedeploy)
5. High resolution camera for 4K video and raw/dng support and micro SD slot.
6. Ability to hover perfectly still
7. Mounted gimbal
8. FPV
9. Availability of spare parts
I have budget of $2000 - $3000
Please feel free to suggest other features I may be unaware I need or ask questions that my lead me to an informed choice. To date my only drone experience was a small ‘toy’ Hubsan X4 H107D which I bought for my grandson as a gift.
