Newbie needs battery help -- I think!

I am just dipping my toe in and bought a Chinese Quad -- HR SH5, 4 channel, 2.4G. It came with a 650maH 3.7V battery, FPV. It worked well and flew (best I could), so I wanted more time and purchased a 1000maH 3.7 battery. After charging it I installed it and the copter would only turn one prop a few time and that was it. After that neither the original battery nor the new will cause it to do anything. Can anybody help? Thanks, Billkjell

Ya get what you pay for, did it crash any pics? One then is that if it's a brush motor, running the drone longer could have overheated the motors and thus hurt the motor or esc.
