Most likely this question has been asked, so forgive me for asking this question again.

I visited an online hobby store and posited some questions. The reply was cordial and from the long winded question I had the person asked in return a number of questions helping me to narrow my answers so as to guide me in the right direction. With my worded picture reply back again, I told the person what kind of flying I wanted to get into and to acquire the list of parts, pieces, and accessories. Here is where I was dismissed by this online store and would like you all to help me understand the differences. The reply was short and dismissive after I shared my thoughts on the price differences between this store's radio package and another hobby store radio package.

So, please help me understand the difference between a Turnigy 9X radio package costing $60 and the HiTec Aurora 9 channel radio package the store was selling at $365?

Latter, I would like to ask a number of other questions about what kind of kit packages are going to help me build my dream multicopter.

Apart from the pricetag, this is the differences I can find:
* Much better screen. It is almost twice as large, it is backlit and has touch.
* Telemetry support.
* Failsafe function.

If you like the Turnigy 9X but are willing to go a little bit more, but not nearly as expensive as an Aurora, then have a look at the Taranis Tx. However, I have a friend with the HiTec Aurora and he just loves it. It's a very high quality piece of gear. Tx are like religions though. You can start quite a long conversation on the topic.

Thanks for the two that answered my inquiry. Your input has helped a little, but would like to know more on not just this question, but more on the subject of which packages, kits, and accessories are for better flying. Not withstanding, but price is not the issue. My desire is to have a handle on the multicopter subject prior to the maiden flight.

Well, that's a big ask IMHO. Not that people here aren't up to it and I'm sure you will get a lot of help. The issue is that it's a fairly new area, people are full of opinions and it's a complex issue. Everyone I know spent a lot of time reading up on the topic and if at all possible find a friend that's playing in this area to guide you. It's all very interesting and great fun. First you got to find put what you need. Like how many channels? You are going to need four for basic flight (thrust, yaw, roll and pitch) and one for the mode-switch. If you are mounting a 2D-gimbal you need one more for tilt, or two for tilt and pan if you have a 3D-gimbal. If you are going to shoot stills and not just video you also going to need one more for the camera shutter. Then you have to decide if you need the failsafe function to prevent flyaways. Are you going to need telemetry or do you want to use OSD for that?

Personally, i think that picking the right rx/tx combo is the most difficult consideration when building a drone. Especially of your budget is limited.
