Beware if you have a 60i nex. They seem to be working with 50i's...

Hello again, we're doubling up the posts but never mind it'll help make more people aware of a possible problem.

60i is NTSC cameras and the European (PAL) cameras are 50i. The NEX cameras are fixed.

I notice this unit does not have a dedicated power supply it takes it from the cameras battery. I would like to know if this shortens the battery time by much. Anyone know the answer.

it doesn't need much power and works very well! It is much better than the old big HDMI converter sold on eBay and Amazon. I can recommend it!

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
before you order one of these you need to make sure it is compatible with your camera, goggles, and/or video monitor.

the ones that have been sold up until now seem to be PAL compatible only. there are others slowly coming to market that are compatible with the NTSC standard which is more common in North, Central, and South America.

Be sure to check which one you are getting before committing to a purchase. I'd also recommend you make minimal mods to it before verifying it works as there seems to be a high failure rate regardless of which format it has been made for.
