New ESC's arrived! Extend or resolder cables for X650?

I'm setting up my X650 with the Naza FC. I have been told that the Naza won't run the original X650 ESC's so I ordered and received some new HobbyWing FunFly.
The cables on the HobbyWing ESC's are to short, and has no connectors. My question is do I extend the RX cables and the power cables, or do I remove the cables from the original X650 ESC's and resolder them on the HobbyWing ESC's??

I would place the ecs's in the same location as the originals. This will require that you extend the signal cable as well as the + & - power leads. Having it out there will help with heat since the esc is under the prop wash... plus it just looks cleaner.

Just my 2 cents, but that's how I did mine.

Im on the same boat... double side taped my esc under the mainframe but will be using sunnysky motors so no need to extend the lead.. i've damaged my esc on my f450 before and feel safer that they are under the frame this time... airflow wont really matter on the x650 arms unless you skip the esc covers...

That has been my plan all the time, and that was not my question ;) :)

Simpler: do I extend the new cables or do I solder on the original cables from the X650 ECS's?
Are there problems with unsolder the short cables and resolder longer ones? I could damage the ESC's?

I don't know why but I'm afraid that to many connectors or solder joints make for bad signals and drop of power? ;)

To many connectors COULD be a week point, but to many solder joints shouldn't be a problem at all... unless they are cold joints. Small wires of that size should be absolutely no problem though. i would just extend the wires that are that are there. If you don't like it, you can always go with plan B later.
