Need Recommendation/advice

Complete novice here.

I volunteer for wildlife conservation projects. I am interested in acquiring a drone that would be used to search for badger burrows and other signs of activity in order to monitor their movements. These are the basic requirements:
- Must work out of cell phone range
- Must report location coordinates
- Minimum 1-way range of 1 mile (must also return).

Please recommend a product or give advice about what features to look for since I am unfamiliar with terminology.

depends on the quality of movie or photo you want and how much u wanna spend on batteries etc? Your the only one that can answer that so go to dji.com and have a look

you could probably pick up an old phantom model cheap with enough batteries on e-bay or on the dji phantom forum
