Hi guys,
I've been looking at the Graupner MX series radios on their website, and would like to hear some opinions.
They look pretty good for the money and I particularly like the bi-directional functionality.

If you're flying MK electronics its the best option out there. We have an MX20 flying an MK Hexa2 and it does everything we need along with telemetry downlink for all the important parameters - temperatures/compass/GPS/battery voltage.

Welcome to MultiRotorForums.com!!
Is the MX-20 the one you'd consider? The -16 only has eight channels which falls short for an MK with a camera, IMHO :)

How does the MK adapt to the Graupner receivers? Is there a receiver or can a PPM stream be pulled from a smaller component like with Spektrum/JR?

Thanks,
Bart

Thanks, this is encouraging. I will be running the HK KK board V2.1 at first, and I have a cheap HK radio for that, but I would like to get the Graupner for my next project which will be running the HoverFly Pro board.

All the info on connecting/setting up the Graupner for MK is here.

The receiver is bigger than the Spekrum satellite and will not fit between the layers of the frame so I put our's vertically on the top plate, a bit of a squeeze under the lid but works perfectly.

BTW ZAxis, how is the bi-directional telemetry connection? What is its effective range? Does it interfere with the transmitter operation?

There has been no interference between telemetry and control. The range for the telemetry has not been pushed to the limit yet but we have flown to around 0.5Km and seen no problems.
