Naza GPS/Compass and magnets

I'm building a Gaui 330x and fitting a DJI Naza Lite flight controller w/ GPS. It just occurred to me that the Gaui uses strong magnets to secure the canopy and these magnets might cause problems with the Compass. Should I plan to remove the magnets and use another way to fasten the canopy?

Might be a good idea, you will mess up the compass using them. Try calibrating with them in place to see if they interfere with the compass or not. If your calibration fails, you know why.

I've decided to not even chance anything-- I removed the magnets with careful application of acetone with a Q-Tip and and am planning a new fastening scheme using either Velcro or 6-32 Nylon thumbscrews.
