NAZA F550 ARF, First Test flight VIDEO

Recently I have fnished Testing and flying the DJI NAZA F550 ARF. I extremely impressed and excited about this product. I am now recomending it as a trainer, to all our clients buying $10k+ Copters.

The Built in Altitude Hold really is sweet. I couldnt believe how well it held its altitude. The Build process can be done with a Solder Gun, and Zip Ties. Then just follw the simple calibration and your ready to Go.

Anyway, I do not want to Ramble on. I just wanted to share what I thought was an excelent trainer/FPV Copter.

Here is a video from its first day Flying (A little boring, but shows how well it flies). Very stable and fun copter to say the least. I will be doing a full Review/build thread soon.

DJI Naza F550 Gains and Prop size

hello,
what is your gain adjustement to obtain the result , and propeller ??
thanks,
fj

The Gains for elev/ailerons were at 120 for gyro's, and on attitude they were around 90-100. i have the gain controls set up on my slider switches of the JR11X, and set through the X1/X2 inputs of the Naza. By lowering all gains, the copter will become sluggish and less responsive. That smooths it out, but feels like it has less travel. For faster flying I turn all the gains back up to stock, or a tad higher. That's why I set gains up on slider switch's, that way I can quickly adjust them in flight. I was using the 10" props, to help lift the 4s 6000mAh lipo. 20min flights is a Blastttttt :) hope that answered your questions clearly

Hello Patrick.
I bought a Naza FCC and DJI F550 last week but haven't built the MCR yet. Do you have a picture of the bottom board to see how all the components are put together by any chance? Thanks in advance.

I will be doing a Build Thread/Video soon. Until then, hopefully this pic shows what your asking for. Download the Manual also, It is an extremely easy build.

Manual
http://www.dji-innovations.com/files/frame/f550_user_manual_en.pdf

The ESC's Solder right to the Board +/-
The LED Module Solders to the Battery =/- (I mounted the LED on the very Bottom, so I could see it clearly in any Direction)
The motors and ESC's have bullet connectors pre installed, Making that a snap.
I Zip Tied The ESC's to the booms, and used Double Sided Tape for the LED, Receiver.
I used ZEAL Gyro Tape for the NAZA.

Hope that info helps.
