Here's my first quadcopter. I designed the frame it myself, with the idea that I want a platform for a camera, and a clean look. I also like to take inspiration in natur, and make the design look organic, almost like if it evolved into the shape.
I cut the carbon fiber with an electric jigsaw (with a metal blade), about 1mm from the line and then sanded the rest. If you want to do something similar REMEBER that carbon fiber dust is very dangerous, I used both latex cloves, safety glasses and a mask.
The hardware is as following:
4 x NTM 2826 1200kv
4 x Turnigy Plush 25amp
4 x 8045 props
2200mAh 40C LiPo
MultiWii 328P
2mm carbon plate (1.5mm would be strong enough)
14mm carbon tube
Turnigy 9X will be flashed with er9x
I have made some initial test flights, and it seems stable enough. I was concerned that the battery should be pulled way out in the back, but as it sits on the pictures it is in balance.
I working on making a 3 axis camera mount that will be mounted in the front.
The first outdoor test can be seen here:

Wight is okay, is was hoping for something under 400g

Total just under 1kg, I think the total lifting power of the four motors is just over 3 kg, so no problem here.
