Gaui My Gaui 500X taken out by an angry magpie

I was coming into land and Mr magpie had other ideas

The magpie was not hurt

My 500X was 1 x boom, 3 x landing pole mounts, 2 x Futaba S3156 digital servos on the crane II gimbal were both fried.

Total repair cost was $117 Aus (the futaba servos were $93 of that)

Reminds me of a vid I saw where a guy was trying to film an Egret nest and they took exception. Never hit his acft, though.

Reminds me of about 25 years ago, I was landing a 1/3rd scale Piper Cub I had made. Was about 6 inches off the ground and a bird took off and committed suicide. Flew his head right into my 22 inch prop! I survived, he didn't. Took a hell of a long time to wash off my Cub, though.

I was using a Gopro HD 2 at 720P 60P but now have the Gopro Hd 3 black edition at 1080P 60P (so much better)
