Mounting my Graupner props on the DJI Motors

Hey guys, I took a picture of my props on my motors. I have read that I need spacers to tighten the nuts down secure enough. These are the E props 10-5".

If I needed, what is the best to use for a spacer?

Does the star lock washer work?

Is it better on the top or the bottom?

Thanks, Tony

I made some washers out of card (some old business cards I had laying about).

I made them by using some metal hole punches (got them from local shop for a few pounds), just used one that was the same diameter as the shaft and one the same diameter as the prop hub. Worked perfectly and have since made several for my other hex and for friends - took just a few minutes - no slipping and light as a feather.

There is a good thread about this floating around here. Some people have used nylocs to lock down the props, some have had to use spacers on the bottom, some have not. If I can find the thread, I will post it here.

go to home depot and look in their specialty hardware drawers for an 8mm washer, I had mine under the prop. (and maybe splurge on some 8mm lock nuts too)
