motors starting before the naza initializes

hi just put a new naza on a bumblebee quad worked fine with bumblebee controller wich looks the same as the naza but want gimbal stabilization. problem is i almost lost my life and a finger when i plugged in the unit and all the motors started running and dont shut off. has any one run a crossed this im thinking i may have a bad naza or some how the esc are not right for it. any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you run it through "Assistant" to set it up? I am not sure about the ESCs. Any time I make changes I test first without blades. Always remember you can use the same stick sequence to kill the motors if it is setup properly. That thing still scares me. :)

i ran it with the assistant, the motor still run even when plugged in to the computer. this was the first time i didn't take off the props lesson learned EVERY TIME i dont think my finger will soon forget even chopped 1/2 through my finger nail.

Hope you feel better. I am sorry as I am new to naza I don't have a real answer for this. I have read of people upgrading and using different ESCs though.

Did you try removing the ESC connection, plugging direct into your Receiver and see that your motors do? You may need to reverse your throttle output on the radio or on the Naza itself. Try removing the blades, or just unhook the ESCs, go into the assistant and check where your throttle is. Move the stick, if it is reversed, click the reverse next to the Throttle in the assistant. See if that helps.

Also, I have seen on some ESCs you might need to remove a wire from the ESC out on the Naza? Can someone elaborate on that please?
