Ross one thing i did last time with be CS 8 Build. Is that i let someone hold it above his head and tested all functions forward backwards left right yaw etc. Eventually i took off from the person hands after getting the feedback that it wants to take off nicely upwards. Could be a way to go sure and than your first take off from the ground is with less stress since you know everything is working the way it should.
