manual home lock

I have a phantom 2 and updated firmware... Can you do a manual home lock while flying?? What if you are flying a longer distance and you are chasing the phantom.... Can you manually record a new home point there and use it for home lock and return to home location?

I don't have a phantom 2 (but I think it uses the naza-m V2?) and I haven't actually tried this with my Naza-m V2 but the DJI wiki indicates that it is possible yes.

It seems you would need to have the aircraft in a hover, be locked on 6 or more satellites and in GPS mode. Then toggle your IOC switch between course lock and home lock and back to course lock 3-5 times. I would expect to see the LED indicate that it's registered the new home lock position with the appropriate multiple green flashes but again not sure how the phantom is set up in terms of the LED indicator.

It appears to be the same procedure for the original Naza-M:

Have a good read though, there's a couple of caveats regarding inadvertent resetting of the forward direction of the course lock if you toggle the switch wrongly!
