Did my maiden flight on my F450 today.
One thing I can say for sure is that without this forum and all the help and knowledge available here I would not have been able to set it up at all!
Since Ohio in February isn't always a nice place weather wise (temps in the 20's, snowing and windy) I did the maiden in my basement in a none too big room. I took all the pre flight precautions I learned here to make sure everything was setup correctly. I was able to keep it in a 5' x5' area with a 7' ceiling!
I have flown a lot of expensive aircraft but this was so exciting. Just the thought of controlling something like a quad copter would have been far out science fiction when I got into rc many years ago.

Sometimes the multi copter beginners (like me) as stupid questions so thanks in advance for not roasting us too badly! My stupid questions and your answers made my success possible.
Im not giving up my gas aircraft but this opens up a new world to me. Now I'm off to try to learn how to work my new GoPro! Wish me luck!
